The Ages Of Fashion

Warning ~ Long post/Photo overload

On Saturday, I attended an event called The Ages of fashion at Transcrop Hilton, Maitama. It was organised by Narnia Events and aimed to showcase fashion trends from the 1950s till date and also raise awareness on altruism disorder. Although it was not as crowded as I highly anticipated, the show was lovely and I enjoyed every bit of it.

The venue ~ Congress Hall, Transcorp

I decided to pay homage to the 1950s, one of the most alluring and graceful decades in fashion, by teaming my full ankara skirt with this royal blue satin shirt, rolled curls, minimalist jewellery, vintage inspired tote bag and scarlet lips. To really make my skirt flare, I cinched it at the waist with my red patent leather belt, and

to slightly toughen the entire look, I borrowed a tad from the punk style of the 1980s by wearing these electric blue court shoes with gold studs...

The show was hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Eku Edewor. Ebuka looked fierce in his suit and Eku dazzled in her Tiffany Amber number. How fab are they?

Check out the fringe effect on Eku and the bad boys on Ebuka's feet...Pow!

How sweet is this material? :)

Bezzy Bez thrilled us with his sonorous voice...and yup! He played that stupid song :)

Love his colour pop socks ~ funky!

Some pics from the '60s

Some accessories by Mina Stones and Verche L'Art cessoire were displayed in-between the decades...

Highlight of the night: Miss Tiwa Savage
Tiwa performed 'Oma Ga' from the Mavin album, she rendered a brief accapella version of 'Oyi remix' and then moved on to rocking 'without my heart' and 'love me' :) Tiwa is a very good performer...She literally injected light and energy into the room. #nuffrespect

Etighi Etighi
I managed to capture some of her moves on video...

That slow motion dance charmed me...immediately I got home, I started practising...lol

Tiva Bespoke was also in the building

The show ended with a dance-off and walk-off between Eku and Ebuka...Oh my! it was super interesting to watch!

  I recorded it...

Can you guess who won? ;)

And...it's a wrap!

I didn't attend the after party but I heard it was wicked.

Well done to Narnia Events and special thanks to my darling Papilonmexy film studios for the beautiful pictures. I hope y'all  enjoyed them.

Have a wonderful week :D :D :D

xoxo
